After traveling for days in harsh conditions without food, most of the IDPs arrive to safety in a terrible health state. Many of them are dehydrated, and even come suffering from malaria. Their long, tenous journeys also aggravate existing medical conditions. We have had a great opportunity to partner with the African Health Development Trust (ADHT) and International Health Partners (IHP). IHP have generously donated to us medication worth £28,500, which was delivered free of charge by British Airways
We decided to take the medication to Yola, a place that seen a very large influx of displaced persons. Here, we have been running fortnightly mobile clinics and we have already treated well over 2,000 patients.
