In partnership with IHP (International Health Partners), a UK based charity, we run health clinics. IHP provided us with medication and medical supplies which was used to run health clinics twice a month in various camps within Yola. This was in conjunction with palliative health care.
• People benefited from medical treatment and free medication.
• As a result of high birth rates and infant mortality, we ran a two-day training programme in Yola for traditional birth attendants in February 2016, where we had 120 attendees. The training focused on sanitation and birthing techniques, each attendee was provided with supplies for five deliveries.
We are currently following up on training and assessing facilities, with a view to providing more equipment where necessary or upgrading/improving facilities where required.
