A consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who volunteers with Foundation for Refugee Economic Empowerment, a grassroots NGO which has been assisting the displaced in Kabusa, visited Nguru last year. She came away impressed by Nguru’s skills and knowledge and promised to provide her with further training so that she can better help the women from Gwoza, as well as the local community.
